All week the weather forecast called for 50 degrees and heavy rain/thunderstorms during the race. Thankfully, I was prepared. We stayed at the Marriott in downtown Louisville, which made things super easy. Race start time was at 7:30 AM and I woke up at 6:45, threw on my race clothes, and walked out the door.

After all that culture, we had to try some Southern Food. I live in Texas but have not spent a significant amount of time in the American South, which explains why today I tried my first Fried Green Tomato. It was tart! We merge onto I-65, and head south towards ...

... Next stop was the Jim Beam Stillhouse. The whole areas smells like bourbon even before you drive on the property. We did a self guided tour and then we got some samples through an automated dispensing machine. You get a credit card that has 2 tastes each and then the machine dispenses the bourbon. All self-serve. They should do this in wineries too!

We made our absolute last stop at ...

    ... impact to us.
We have been buying all kinds of RV supplies and foods to get it all set up. It is amazingly comfortable and a huge improvement from our old RV. We are even excited about having a washer and dryer.
After spending 2 nights in Indiana, we drove in the pouring rain to Louisville, Kentucky and will be here for 3 nights. Today we went to the Louisville Slugger Museum and the Muhammed ...
