Another Breathing Lesson

At sites like Rates To Go one ascertains which airports are a breeze to be in and certainly pass through. Generally speaking Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is not among them.
We've been through this airport numerous times and had no concerns about changing planes. The distress arose from not being able to download boarding passes for Korean Air because the reservation was not made ...

We Finally Made It To Our First Hotel!!

... The kids saw a truck in the parking lot that looked like Uncle Rick's truck and we told him he wasn't here with us on this trip but maybe the next one.... (hint hint :-) Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for all of the prayers. We know Jesus heard your prayers, we're still not sure about Grandpa's though. Our next stop is a hotel in Orlando FL. We'll be back then!!

Love,

Wendell, Kiesha, Aliyah, Jada, Frank, & Chris (

... it. So when I did venture from the hotel I tried to make it count. The Library there is full of sweet, super polite ladies. I became very aquainted with shelves there. I actually became a patron and even won a prize for a book review that i submitted. The Library and Courthouse are some of the more beautiful buildings in the town. Our adventure in Millen ended the third week of July at which point we then moved to Statesboro.
Day 120 - Greed

We were up very early as we wanted to catch the sun coming up out of the Atlantic. Sadly we were just a little too late and it was already "out of the water". Nevertheless we still got some lovely photos of the early morning beach.

Back at the bus we packed up and showered and were on the road for 9.30. After stopping at two Wal-Marts (!) we finally set off towards Georgia. We crossed the state line on US 17 as we crossed the St Marys river. At Kingsland we took ...

Well, fiddle-dee-dee....

... where nobody was looking at the City message board or playing Solitaire, can you believe it? - they have a huge food court with just about any type of lunch you want, a bar (I'm sure we could set up some of our desks in there), a post office, all sorts of shops and even a police station. We could even have our own Greggs downstairs with two-for-one on steak bakes. Can you sort that one Jess? Can't see it happening, but you can always dream.

... THAT long. we ate dinner at the Cracker Barrel. i sat at a big round table with 6 or 7 other guys. that was quite interesting... jeez. boys are strange. i ordered a 10oz ribeye steak, two sides of macaroni & cheese, and applesauce (each dinner comes with three sides automatically). top that with a rootbeer AND some of a guy's apple cobbler, and i was STUFFED. the guys were all impressed that the smallest person at the ...

... So after the bingo there was a bunch of us talking. He said he had a gift, so this black woman in her fifties said what. He said look into my eyes, which she did. He then told her that she had three children, one passed away, one 21-22 and youngest 19. The youngest born on a Saturday and the other two on Sunday. Her jaw dropped open. I asked them did they know each other, which they said they did not.He also said he can tell what ...

Destination: Savannah, Georgia

We rolled into Savannah a little after 8. Amanda got us checked into The River Street Inn, and she recommended a place and a pie. We met John and Linda Michelin from Montreal in the parking lot; they saw the sign on the car and wanted to know about the trip. Delightful people. They invited us to stay in a resort home they own in Canada. We had a nice ...

Heading Southeast toward Savannah Georgia

We managed to get lost two additional times today. It appears that one of the great challenges of driving around the country on two-lane roads will be FINDING the darned roads. Highway 8 to Dacula (that's Dracula without the R) just isn't marked clearly. We may need that GPS system that Uncle Ward told us to take. We took a number ...
