Today another great morning. Had breakfast at the lodge and were on the road by 8. We wanted to go to Bo's Hollow today first and then Akers 2 car ferry because Bo's was only 3 miles from the lodge. Bo's did not open until 10 so we ran over to Akers car ferry first and then back tracked to Bo's. The ferry had a toll of $4 and I was the only one that put my car on. Tomorrow we are looking forward to touring St. Louis and seeing the Arch!

I slept in a little later than I meant to, and finally got out of bed around 9:00 AM local time. It was getting a little late in the morning so I scarfed down a ham and egg sandwich and headed on my way to the airport. I got a ride to the airport from Mr. Peterson and his father-in-law.

... a 1986 Toyota 4 wheel drive station wagon, we have named Beulah. So far so good! Beulah has needed only one repair. She had a hole in her tailpipe. Fortunately Jim is very handy with cars and was able to fix the muffler that came loose.

Driving back to the Olson Inn, we stopped in Springfield, IL to visit the Lincoln Museum and Library. Abe has said many things that are so thought-provoking. Jim refers to him often with quotes like, "I ...
