... we spent about an hour on the beach. It was packed. We assume with kids on spring break. So now we have dipped our toes in the Atlantic on the east coast of Florida and the Gulf of Mexico on the west side.

Our drive back to Orlando was supposed to take 1 hour 45 min again but the traffic was againg solid all the way past Tampa city and it took us 2 & 3/4 hours.

Cooked dinner at our hotel tonight. Roast chicken and veggies. Nice.

Today we slept in a little, packed up and left Crystal Isles RV resort. We stopped in downtown Crystal River for a little souvenir shopping and an early lunch. The only shops open were dive shops, but we found a few things. Lunch was at Crackers by the water. The food was good and it was nice to look out at Kings Bay. Today was the first time the wind has laid off the entire time ...

I had a super fun trip, but here's what I would have changed: - stay longer at WDW - stay longer at Crystal River Things To Do: The Keys - Snuba Trip: Super fun, just do it on a calm day. - Trolley Tour in Key West: Fun to learn about the history, etc. - Key Lime Pie: Duh. ITS PIE!!!!!! - ...

... driving we found a chain restaurant called Cody's Original Road House.  With typical rusty "roadhouse/gas station" memorabilia scouring the walls and empty peanut shells tossed carelessly on the floor, we sat down for steak, ribs, shrimp (whoops I mean prawns! Haha its been too long since I was down under!), fajitas, chicken, burgers and fries. Watching baseball and gridiron on the overhead tv's. Stuffed full from dinner and with kids yapping at our heels ...

    Cody's

A travel blog entry by veerlew on Jul 27, 2013

Going out to have dinner at Cody's was the only thing I did today. I wasn't really feeling well today, I had a headacheand I was burning up. The same thing that plagued Nikki the last few days. BecauseI didn't feel that well it was nice to have a day of doing nothing. Cody's was a lot of fun. It was this kind of pkace where you could just throw your empty peanut shells on the floor, pretty cool. The food was ...
