On our way from Oklahoma City to the Dallas area, we decided to stop at the Oklahoma towns of Seminole and Wewoka due to Clare's [FSU] Seminole roots. We made a quick stop at The Seminole Nation Casino in the town of Seminole. Then we proceeded a few miles away to visit the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma Museum. The museum showed the history of Indians from the southeast as ...

When I did a search on Food Network's "On The Road" App for places to eat on our trip, The Rock Cafe in Stroud stood out because it listed some German dishes I knew we'd enjoy :)

We ate also at a small diner called Boomerang whicgh had a 50s theme to it and again our accent became ...

... Boulevard. Main Street is named Will Rogers Boulevard. On the way into Tulsa I stopped in Catoosa to see the Blue Whale which used to be a children's plaything in a swimming hole. When I got there it was being used by kids for fishing. Tulsa has two different Route 66 alignments - pre and post 1932. I took the post 1932 route as that offers more of the motels and businesses that made 66 what it became. Two of the many signs I encountered are featured in this ...

Left home about 5:45. Flight from OKC at 9:15. Arrived O'Hare 11:15. The international terminal is a totally different building so we had to go out of security, ride a tram to the international terminal and go back through security so that took awhile. Everything else was smooth. Talked to a girl while waiting at the gate who lives in Dublin and had been visiting ...
