Our trip began uneventfully with a leisurely trip to the airport ending at Terminal 2, with no one in front of us in the security line. I thought there would be more people flying United on a Friday afternoon. Our first surprise was getting upgraded to First class for some unknown reason. But who is going to ask? ... a day. Sabatino’s in Wakefield, where he eats a lot, usually nets at least one book a night. The owner and the bartender love the book and when he arrives they usually have one or two interested people and they introduce them to Phil. I’m anxious for this fall and the book signings! ... yes. Walter/Linda and Jim/Della joined us at this 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom quaint abode costing $2.475 million and rents out at $2500 per day. Yikes!!
Everything is grand, upscale, sophisticated and smattered with wild west influences - big timbers, thick wood funiture, big stone arches, big windows, heavy wood trim, big doors, big patio, big BBQ, big kitchen, high ceilings (covered with split wooden slats), huge bedrooms, ...
... improved and the temps came up. It’s another one of those rides we’d like to do again but in better weather, but I doubt very much that Lindsay would join us.
It was really nice to have her here for a visit and we could show her what us "old folks" do in Arizona. One night at the RV park she got to be included in it all as they had a spaghetti supper for everyone at the clubhouse.
Heute bin ich zum erstenmal alleine in Phoenix unterwegs gewesen.
Bin mit den ÖVs zum Einkaufszentrum PW gefahren. Und bin von dort aus zum boarder Shopt ( Bookstuore) gelaufen. Hab mir entlich einen Guide gekauft, nachdem ich meinen in Vegas gelassen hab.
Ich habs genossen einen easy tag allein zu verbringen und die Zeit im Boarders in den Büchern zu vertingeln. Hab mir noch ein ...
