I found this hotel to be super comfortable, clean, and it had nice amenities. The breakfast was the same as most complementary hotel breakfasts, but it was very fresh. The fitness center had plenty of space and equipment, including free weights, a weight bench and a mat. There are plenty of restaurants near by too. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Weather was back to Monterey fog yesterday, and a little chilly. It was almost gloomy when we arrived to play golf at 8am. Black Horse was great although the greens were brutal. On one par three we all hit the green and then three of us four-putted! Despite too many putts I played below handicap, helped by three birdies - the most in one round in ages. And good enough to win the most "skins". We cut short our ...

... snapshots, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We then found William his Giants hat. We were still a little tired so we just had dinner at the hotel and had a wonderful Mexican server called Miguel. We ate dinner and then got a chocolate fudge brownie to bring back and enjoy. That's all for today, we have a big day planned at San Diego Zoo tomorrow and I need some more rest. Until next ...

... to get used to sitting on the wrong side of the car. After an eventful car ride and typical LA traffic, we made it!! I fell asleep early so again haven't eaten properly in a day ( I'm dying for a cheeseburger!!) Tomorrow we are off (technically it's already tomorrow but I've been asleep) to Yosemite National Park :) keep an eye out for Shane's photos!! See ya later ...

... we took the full walk along the beach to Santa Monica, about 2.5 miles. When we arrived it was clear this was a much more built up and attractive area. Full of shops and restaurants as well as a big pier with plenty of attractions on too. We had a walk around then took the stroll back along the beach and had a rest where it appeared that there was a music video or dance sequence for tv being filmed on the beach, so we lay and watched that for a bit ...

    What we did
Because we arrived in LA still needing to buy a few key things (I had only bought a pair of jandals with me so needed shoes, and neither of us had a proper camera), we spent parts of the next few days doing shopping at various places around LA. After doing this in the morning we headed to Venice Beach where the Mr and Mrs Muscle Beach 2014 competition was taking place. We had a good perve at ...
