Nothing too exciting to report on day 2. Just the 290'ish miles from Chicago to our next stop for a few days Sandusky, the home of Cedar Point.
Still waking up at stupid AM which was kind of handy as we were on the road and out of Chicago before 9am. What we did not take into account that we would also lose an hour as we entered the eastern …

OK so this is my first post on this site.
Here are our stats for today.
Left Oceanport at 8:45am and arrived in Sandusky, OH at 6:45pm.
We traveled 545 miles on I-80 and it was a long and hot ride.
Tomorrow is Chicago which is 250 miles, so an easy ride compared to today.

They had some very impressive rides, including one that was the fastest and tallest when it was built, and was amazing, although sadly only watched as I can't go on them. We got back quite late and headed straight to bed. We then all ...

Had dinner with my riding buddiy Jim and cousins Jane and Jim and then reunited the bikes in Jim's garage for the start of our journey together. Good ending for a 500 mile, 8 hour riding day.

On again off again thunderstorms with limited visibility made me tense. Add to that the tunnel I had forgotten about on the Pennsylvania turnpikes made my shoulder muscles tense and sore. Lots of major slow ups for speeding tickets and tire changes "lookie loos". I did an early night with a hot shower to loosen up my ...
