    ... plaque in the pavement with the mileage. We started at the five mile mark and were going to mile zero, so it was easy to to watch our progress.

    We noticed plenty of workers keeping the area looking nice and even passed a police officer on a bicycle, patrolling the path. There are many places to enter the path from streets and neighborhoods adjacent to the river, making it convenient for those who utilize it.
