    Absolutely wonderful visit in San Antonio with my cousin Lewis Fisher & wife Mary. We couldn't have had a more excellent travel guide than Lewis, who has authored many books about San Antonio as well as many other places. Mary grew up in San Antonio - about as good as you can get!!     ... the famous people that died here is fascinating. The Alamo was saved by the Daughters of the Texas Republic. The Alamo is right downtown in the middle of the hotel, convention center, business and restaurant districts. It was easy to find your way around this city.
