Today is Sunday, 11/2 and my first thought is that it's hard to believe that I've been retired 5 months already and that we've been on the road for nearly 5 months. It's so true --- how quickly time flies. This is our last day in San Antonio after being here for 2 weeks. This is the longest we've stayed in one spot. We really enjoyed it here. We'll just keep ...

    We made a

    Slow Beginnings

A travel blog entry by cr1247 on Oct 13, 2013

The first week of BOLC proved to be very long and tedious. Those who are in the class get to stay at hotels on post, which are quite similar to a civilian hotel but our room has foot lockers and closets that resemble those in the barracks. The atmosphere for officers here is very casual, we are only told where to be and when. I know in ROTC people passed rumors saying that medical BOLC is a 'joke,' which is simply not the case. ...
