Brian and I have made up our minds to move to San Francisco with our dog Baxter.

We plan to drive my car, a compact 3-series BMW, loaded with all of our earthly belongings and our 2 bikes. We have several stops planned along the way and are ready to start our own life together. This blog documents our quick adventures as I spend 2 weeks between jobs, living life to the fullest with my 2 loves.

... But there is such a thing as New Overload. It's not pretty. So in order to short circuit things before they hit that point, we had a whole day of quiet time at Uncle Rob's house. Naps were taken. TV shows were watched. Books read. Photos edited. iPad deployed. And music was listened to. Actively. Often.

Meanwhile, the Mister and Uncle Rob did some day drinking, breeze shooting and are now at a baseball game -- the Durham Bulls (our beloved Rays AAA minor league ...

... 12, hello 13, hello love - or at least a passing fancy.

It was that kind of day for us road warriors. Unexpected moments mixed in with the business of traveling. A quick jaunt to Savannah -- a city none of us had visited before -- was both lively and wet our whistle for a longer visit during a less hot time of year. The forecast high for today was 97. Hell might be the only place hotter -- but it's a dry heat there. Oy. Fascinating place, even through the car ...

... You pick a tub and fill it with whatever flavoured icecreams you want and then all the toppings you want as well including fruits, chocolates, hot fudges, and flavoured toppings. Its so much fun to make it up and then eat it all. Barry wanted to try both tubs.

We got home around 3ish and I finished packing my suitcase ready to leave tomorrow.

Maria decided she wanted to do my hair ...

... we could see the attendant was doing a little dance. She kept doing this dance while she was processing Gail's card so I asked her what she was listening to while she worked. She told me she wasn't listening to anything, that she was busting to use the restroom, chucked the card in the car and bolted. We roared laughing and went home. I so wish I had videoed it.

      Another wonderful day.
