      ... we made it right on time!) we headed for Temple Square and the Mormon Temple grounds. This was fantastically interesting. There we met two young women who were Mormon missionaries -- one from Venezuela and the other from Brazil -- who showed us around and took us through the various buildings.       ... entering Wyoming there was a Port of Entry side-of-highway mandatory stop for trucks with livestock or .... watercraft (and some other categories).

      ** LOTS of super long freight trains w/ containers double decked, coal cars, grain cars -- we kept pace w/ one for about 30 miles. Question: how do they get underway from a full stop, & how long does it take them to get up to 70 mph speed?

      ... from the mess, did suggest that they probably should put up a warning sign pertaining to the cavernous dip in the road. Hm, WE AGREE. Judging by the number of deep gouges, I bet there are dozens of other rv'ers who would support some warning signage.       We left Wendover at the Nevada border and Colleen drove the requisite 100 miles to breakfast. The drive took us through the Bonneville Salt Flats to just west of Salt Lake City.
