Today we cycled into Blacksburg via Radford VA. Route 654 , the old Baltimore road was serene and a wonderful early morning view of this part of Virginia. We rode into Newbern and were engaged with the early history of this tiny mountaintop village...the homes dated to the early 19th century. We arrived back in Blacksburg around 10:30 am, after 7,600 miles and 14 states. It was a great way to see this country. We had a fantastic time, we were very fortunate with the weather, and really got an appreciation for how vast and geographically diverse the United States ...

They also had a nice prototype coal car that they updated to include the N Scale Convention logo. We accidentally knocked it off the track, so Tony helped out and got it back on the tracks (see picture below!).
