    Today we cycled into Blacksburg via Radford VA. Route 654 , the old Baltimore road was serene and a wonderful early morning view of this part of Virginia. We rode into Newbern and were engaged with the early history of this tiny mountaintop village...the homes dated to the early 19th century.     They also had a nice prototype coal car that they updated to include the N Scale Convention logo. We accidentally knocked it off the track, so Tony helped out and got it back on the tracks (see picture below!).
