... been taken in from the cold. We walked around the far end of the park to the Beaver Pond Blind and Treehouse, but there wasn’t a lot to see here, so we continued back to the North America exhibit. There were a lot of various ducks and geese here, as well as some beautiful cranes and geese. One whooping crane was very interested in the GoPro camera and even tried to take a bite! The demoiselle cranes were especially beautiful with light ...

      What a miserable place!
It's hot as hell, the water in the pool looks like someone poured milk into it, and there is nothing to do in the area.
This is our own fault. We completely spaced about the holiday weekend and this was the ONLY place we could find available anywhere near where we want to go next.

It was incredible to be grubby travellers bouncing along in our oversized kitchen appliance camping at Walmart and then to be amongst a family with home cooked meals in woodland lake paradise. Thanks also to Dale and Cathy for the ride in the chopper (Robbie 66 beaut machine), for another lovely meal and a blast on a stupidly powerful jetski (I’m just starting to get some colour back in my knuckles). See you back in ...

... Just before 2:00 we stopped in Savannah, Georgia for lunch at Cracker Barrel. I was disappointed that Miss Paula Deen wasn't there to greet me, as I have always been one of her biggest fans. Nevertheless, lunch was delicious as always. Courtney ordered a small serving of hash brown casserole with a side of fried apples. Nancy ordered the turkey soup with homemade noodles and a side of biscuits. I stuck to my standard choice at Cracker ...

... I felt like having breakfast for dinner...my favourite thing to do when travelling long distances. It is comfort food to me. I had the country sampler platter which consisted of grits, biscuits with sausage country gravy, fried apples, eggs, country sausage, sugar cured ham, bacon, hash brown casserole and some hot and steamy coffee. I am content! The three of us ate for just over $26 not including ...
