... 45am but because of the cold snap they delayed it to 9.45am. We got them to school just before 9.45am and they meet their buddy for the day and went off to class while we hung out in the gym eating the spread they had put on for us. Bojangles is a chicken place over here but they must do coffee as well as the school had a couple of boxes of coffee, yep coffee in a box just like wine in a cask!

... a bottle of Rare Eagle bourbon based on the advice of guy at the ABC store so we cracked that. Hey that guy was pretty spot on. The real test was when I went back up to my room to have a night cap I cracked the Old Grand-Dad and it was a bit rough so the Eagle must be pretty good.

After a big day of travelling and great driving by Simon and John we hit the sack ready for a big day tomorrow.

Mount Vernon This is one of the highlights of our trip. George and Martha Washington's estate on the Potomic River has been beautifully restored to its former glory, thanks to the Mt. ... br> America is such a land of contrasts - there are all these massive road signs, suspended high above the roadsides and really quite distracting, advertising the fast food joints and restaurants claiming home cooking. However, when it comes to directional road signs or showing you the distances to the next town, these are very sparse.
