When we got to where Campbell Creek feeds into the Cape Fear River, we stopped for a quick view of the river, then followed the trail upstream along its namesake creek. This was a particularly scenic stretch of trail, with quite a bit of fall color showing along the creek. And so many people have been asking where we are at in our preparations that I felt I should update everyone on what is going on. So . . . that is what has been going on. A lot. Garage sales, Craigslist, Ebay, Amazon. We found 8 enormous suitcases at a nice little thrift shop in Raleigh called Reuzit. Brand new, but with broken wheels. We'll manage.
