      ... Appalachians from the air. But the whole area was covered in clouds. In descending you could see it was layers of clouds. It was pretty fascinating. The top layer was just the thin clouds, but below was a thick layer of clouds. The plane was cutting a slice of cloud cake. Fascinating how God made them.

      We woke up before the crack of dawn this morning (4:45 am) to make the 2.5-hour drive to Frankfurt airport to return the rental car and catch our flight back to the USA. The journey was uneventful and Ben saved a few more brain cells along the way. We found a good breakfast place at the airport and enjoyed our last German meal and free WiFi.       ... empty lot, then drive to Jeep to Aunt Irms. Aunt Irma looks good, says she feels good but hates all the tubes! We talked about Grandkids, great-grandkids, football and Enno and Gui.
