... 65 miles in, I stopped at a store. Two guys walked up and were blown away by my bike. They wanted to know all about it. They thought it was hilarious and had never heard of bike touring. Their reactions were very over the top and amusing to me. I got a few miles of flat but once I got into Hannibal, it got super steep. I got to my campsite at 98.2 miles, so I biked further down the highway. I'm glad I did, because I got to see some cool sights of the Mississippi ...

... down to the Gulf. They had jetted to New York and rented a RV vehicle for their trip. One of man in the group had just come back from a Paris to Beijing motorcycle ride!
I also climbed up 244 steps to a lighthouse that was dedicated to Mark Twain and when I was about half way up I man told me not to bother there was nothing there to see and he was right!
But I was pleased I could climb the stairs without pausing.
Tomorrow it's off to St Louis to play.

... wall socket had the cord pulled out of the cooler. The funny thing is the cooler was sitting next to the wall under the outlet and somewhat behind the TV stand. There could be no way that either of us could have accidently pull the plug out from the cooler. There is rumor that a lady has been seen in a window on the second of this B&B. Well any way you decide for ...
