... tracks run parallel between the highway and the river. It made for a very Huck Finn feel. The town is obsessed with Mark Twain, because it was his boyhood town. Everything is named in regards to him. I saw a sign for "home of the Mark Twain fried chicken!" What? Oh tourist traps.... If I were more into celebrities, maybe I'd be more excited about all of the hype. I stayed at the Mark Twain Cave Campground. It was the only camp near my route. $19 for no water, electric, ...

... down to the Gulf. They had jetted to New York and rented a RV vehicle for their trip. One of man in the group had just come back from a Paris to Beijing motorcycle ride!
I also climbed up 244 steps to a lighthouse that was dedicated to Mark Twain and when I was about half way up I man told me not to bother there was nothing there to see and he was right!
But I was pleased I could climb the stairs without pausing.
Tomorrow it's off to St Louis to play.

... wall socket had the cord pulled out of the cooler. The funny thing is the cooler was sitting next to the wall under the outlet and somewhat behind the TV stand. There could be no way that either of us could have accidently pull the plug out from the cooler. There is rumor that a lady has been seen in a window on the second of this B&B. Well any way you decide for ...
