    ... saw Bats, Kola bears, a Polar Bear, Opossum, Three-banded Armadillo, chimpanzee and the grey squirrel. We saw camels, bobcats, flying squirrel, Risso's dolphin, leopard, hippopotamus, colobus monkey, red-necked Wallaby, Duck-billed platyus, three-toed sloth,jaguar, arctic fox and bison to name a few.

    ... was themed accordingly. The animal displays, butterfly room, skeletons of different animals and gemstone displays were all really well done, as long as we skipped along fast and didn't become too engaged with reading the 'how you are related to apes' or ' evolutionary adaptations of the giraffe'... I wonder how many headless giraffes it took to discover they needed to 'grow' one-way valves in their necks to stop their huge hearts blowing ...

    ... stinking, we arrived at 1:27am and Amanda was off into the Port Authority Bus Terminal to confirm our tickets and seats whilst I unloaded the cab and paid the man! 5 mins later Amanda came out without any sprint in her step or sense of urgency saying the bus has already left… AHHHHH WTF.. and that we’d been placed on the last remaining seats on the 3:30am bus. Ohh well, good effort, but tough luck!

    Where to go, what to do for the next 2 hours? Certainly not ...

    ... on the street if she knew where it was, she was clueless, but offered her phone for me to use to call the hostel. I did so, and right opposite me pops out a lady and shouts "are you megen?", the temptation to shout back "no I'm peter" was incredible, but after a train that long, my sense of humour was little to none. Now, this hostel is strange, it almost like walking into a really old school hippies house, guitars and posters everywhere, mirrors in weird places, at least 500 ...
