Madawaska, Maine, United States a3dennert... them off when you're done so you had better find everything that you need to cook so you won't waste your fire! Jeremy wasn't feeling well but I think it was a combination of being overtired and eating too late (charcoal takes a long time to be ready to cook on!! - you know really, people should tell me these things) I fell asleep to a combination of the sounds of rustling poplars, babbling brook and the occasional flash of heat lightning. Absolutely phenomenal.
Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada sirene... bitterly) to run uphill first. We chose a route that took us uphill for 10 solid minutes and then turned around for less-than-ten minutes down. It was a great workout! For a while, once we started driving again, we contemplated going all the way to Fredericton, but my Lonely Planet guide book promised that Grand Falls, NB was worth the stop, so we obliged. One of the first things we saw was a Walmart and resolved it was time ...

Acadia, Maine, United States exploreamerica... ferry ride to Winter Harbor. Along the way I caught glimpses of Egg Rock Lighthouse and Mark Island Lighthouse. I explored the tiny non-touristy town of Winter Harbor before returning to Bar Harbor. In the evening I drove out, climbed some rocks along the ocean and viewed Bass Harbor Lighthouse. All in all I drove 217 miles in and around Acadia.
