It was only once we got close to Portland that we saw any snow at all and there it was only deep in the bush. But shortly after we stopped for the night the snow started. It looks like we got about 3" overnight. Luckily we're heading south! Had great Chinese food last night. Who knew we'd find it in Maine! Here's what morning looked like - winter ...

Dad you really would love the lobster!! So ...

... wasn't in a cupboard!! ********* A common thing we hear when ordering meals is 'What would you like for your starch?' Specifically.... would you like fries / potato etc. we all need our starch! *************** Road trip things.... We saw a 'watch for moose' sign! This highway speed was r75 mph .... with a minimum speed of 45mph!! Never seen a minimum speed before! Largest signs we saw were NOT the signs to exit the freeway.... but exits to buy lottery ...

... Lobster roll's for lunch and laid on the beach for the afternoon. We near enough had the place to ourselves as the high tourist season has finished.

From there we headed to our Hotel, the fireside inn. In the morning Andrew, Becci and Brian all had a swim in the pool. Being September there was no one else stupid enough to go swimming.

We then drove to Fort William Park, where we visited Portland Head ...
