    Very nice

    from

This is a typical Hampton - clean, well run, spacious, comportable rooms. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. The pool area is a little bit larger than a nice backyard pool but it is quiet and a nice place to spend a few hours. The hotel is well located right across the street from Broward Mall and within 2 minutes of about a dozen good restaurants. Highway access is 2 minutes from the hotel so you can be in South Beach in 1/2 hour or at Aventura Mall in 15 minutes. There is a hot buffet breakfast that's incuded with your stay and it is very nice - fresh muffins, breads, bagels, fresh fruit, cereals, etc and the hot items vary by day. We had French toast one day, eggs and sausages another and waffles and pancakes on the last day. There is plenty of comfortable seating for breakfast - unlike some places that have 2 or 3 tables stuffed in a little room. A really pleasant surprise was being handed 4 brown bags as we left for the airport at 4am. Each bag had a fresh muffin, an apple or banana, cereal bar, bottle of water and a box of breath mints. Very thoughtful touch. I would recommend this hotel as a good base if you want to some shopping or touring. It's not the kind of place that you would want to just hang around all day.

    Clean and Quiet

    from

This is a very clean, and quiet place to stay. The beds were comfortable, and the shower looked like it had just been re-done. There is a free breakfast with hot and cold foods, space is limited so get there early. The pool area is very tropical, you would never know that Macy*s was on the other side of the wall. The location of this hotel is ideal because you are off the main highway, a mall, and restaurants. We recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there the next time we are in the Ft. Lauderdale area.

    Bring your own pillow

    from

Good location, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, & mall. Room was clean w/internet access. Negative were the pillows, they were ROCK HARD!!!! We usually travel w/our pillow but this time forgot. Staff was friendly & helpful in directing me to all night market & restaurant suggestions. Average inclulsive breakfast. Good security in the eve.

    Great place to stay!

    from

This is a great place to stay. They allowed us to check in early at 9:30 a.m. and the process was the quickest I have ever seen. They have a free breakfast every morning with hot and cold foods. The ambiance in the dining area is very nice. The pool area is very tropical. The location of this hotel is ideal because you are off the main highway and near a mall, large shopping center, and restaurants which are hidden by alot of beautiful foliage and trees. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there the next time we are in the Ft. Lauderdale area.

    Very pleased with our stay

    from

We enjoyed a two night stay recently at the Hampton Inn Plantation at the end of our visit to the Keys and were pleasantly surprised with both the standard of this hotel (very clean) and it's surroundings. There were many very reasonably priced eateries within walking distance and having just a short drive to Sawgrass Mills and a stroll across the road to both Broward and Fashion Malls was a bonus. Highly recommended for a shopping trip!!!!

    Hot and Cold....

    from

We stayed at this property two times at the beginning and end of a trip to the Florida Keys. The first night went pretty well. We arrived at nearly midnight and the desk clerk was cheerful, attentive and helpful. Upon arrival at the room there was bottled water and cookies for being a Gold Hilton Honors member. I find this is not consistent at Hamptons, but appreciated when done.

The next morning upon checkout we were asked by the manager how was our stay to which I replied "good!" Apparently this wasn't good enough and she began to pester me to change my opinion to excellent or exceeds expectations. It was more like high pressure sales than really trying to understand maybe what could have been better.

Some Hamptons have done a good job of providing breakfast options for the low carb crowd, but this one really had not.

Then upon our return several days later, we were obviously an unwanted interruption to the desk clerk and a helper she was quite engaged with. She made a feigned attempt at a smile and welcoming attitude but it fell flat to the gentlemen before. When we got to our room, the bed was not completely made and the pillows were in a chair without pillow cases. A call to the desk clerk was painful as I had interrupted her again, she would barely speak, but said she would take care of it. Her assistant arrived a few minutes later with one pillow case and then went back to get more.

Normally I would chalk this up to a bad night for someone, but combined with the used car salesman aggressiveness of the Manager the first time, seems to me there is a systemic problem.

Its still a Hampton, relatively new, clean and priced reasonably for the market, but what's a hotel without great people........

    Cozy and Quiet

    from

I stayed here for one night and really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly, the room was decent. I had a king size bed, which was comfortable. The breakfast was average, they used processed eggs, which I guess is expected, but it was free, so that is all that matters. Overall, I enjoyed this hotel , considering I made a reservation at the last minute, literally on the same day.

    Enjoyed Hampton Inn

    from

I enjoyed the Hampton property. Staff were excellent, responded to my every need. Location perfect for shopping or whatever we had planned.

    Will definitely stay here again.

A Pleasure, With or Without The Kids!

    from

We have stayed at the Hampton Inn, Plantation, Florida many times both with and without our children. The rooms have always been spotless, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast bar fresh and varied.

Despite being in the middle of Plantation, lying by the pool is quiet and restful. Because it is in the middle of Plantation everything is within easy driving (or in some cases walking!) distance. Sawgrass Mills (Retail Outlet) is ten minutes drive, Fort Lauderdale Beaches twenty minutes. Brilliant.

... mins! Although it's apparently 4 degrees...fun...lol I packed my down jacket so hopefully it's enough in the cold. Ok upon arrival into NYC we were bundled into a very tight (cozy?) super shuttle. The first thing we noticed was that the streets and traffic looked a lot like Sydney! Haha! Not sure if that was true or it was an unconscious homesickness. Anyway traffic was crazy cause it was peak hour so ...

... I eventually heard she was ok and my shoulders loosened with a sigh of relief. That night I got talking to a Scottish lady and we decided to take a bus ride to the middle keys the next day. Again I had a lovely time walking through a nature trail and seeing some beautiful trees and views out over The Keys. She told me interesting stories about her life and on the bus home we talked throughout the 2 1/2 hr journey. My last day was spent at the hostel freeloading! The ...

After my washing was all sorted, Sean and I headed to Fort Lauderdale Beach (which is one of the main locations for spring break). On the way there, we stop at the store called "Marshall's", which is very much like Trade Secret in Australia. It sells heaps of big name clothing and footwear for a cheap price. Unfortunately, ...

... always a lot of people there. It isnice to go when there is almost nobody in sight. The shop is a mess though, as it had been open from 9PM the day before.... A lot of people has already come and gone, and a lot of stuff has been left the way people left them.

There are several shops which display elegant cocktail dresses, which is perfect for our cruise to come, I am thrilled to find really beautiful gowns for a fair price.
