To be honest, the only reason to go to Mexico Beach is to eat at Killer Seafood. Lots of beach but the community ambience is kind a meh. But we didn't care cuz shrimp and key lime pie awaited us after walking for an hour so on the beach. We traveled inland afterwards to Wewakitchka which was essentially mile ...

... disappointed and leave the place over stuffed and hurting. The portion sizes were enormous and we didn't even finish what we had. Sheree tried corn nuggets as her side dish. These are little morsels of cream corn fried in a batter the size of key limes and then dusted with powdered sugar. Sounded strange but were really good. ... Beach has been able to retain the charm of a small town florida coast. The state park is not very large and the camp ground is about half mile from the beach and half mile from the road, so it is very quiet. The spaces are spread apart so you have privacy amidst the slash pines and brush. Clean bathroom facility and easy walk to the beach or drive either one.

We just happened to notice this place on the map after ...

Our penultimate day on the road saw us make our way to Panama City for a stop over at a beach resort. Situated on the Gulf of Mexico the resort boasts white sand and warm water, with a generous pool and splash park it is a great place for a family vacation. We were greeted by a tropical storm which saw the pool closed due to the numerous lighting bolts lighting up the sky.Our plan ...
