    Happy hump day. We started the day with a hearty breakfast of eggs, hash browns and toast. Oh, and a piece of chocolate for dessert. It is hard to just let a perfectly good box of chocolates just sit there, you know.

    The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is located 10 miles south of Daytona. It is 175 ft high and was built in 1887. It was designated as a National Historic Monument in 1998. The original keepers' dwellings and out buildings are still stand. It is one of the largest and best preserved of the lighthouses in the US.
