    ... volumous... And she is blind. She loves Frida Kahlo and has Klimt on the walls and we talked for ages. Her daughter is in NZ so she has my email in case her daughter comes to Oz and wants to look me up. When I arrived at the Courthouse square about 10 or 12 musicians were jamming so I sat down to listen. One came over straight away and asked if I was a musician. Unfortunately no. When he found out I was from Australia I got introduced and one of them had lived in Cairns ...

    ... them, it looked magical. Everyone is very friendly, I have shaken hands with a Desert Storm veteran in his Bike Club regalia. Been wished 'a top of the morning to you'. Had street busking guitarists set up right near us as we had coffee to lighten our day. And last but not least meet Zarina in Juliette's Jewels who would like to come to Australia, so we are Facebook friends now so she knows where the good places are; e.g. Townsville North Queensland ...

    ... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. Yep- gotta get a cholesterol check once we return ...

    ... makes us sound quite lazy but we did more walking than driving, and to explore the whole park you definitely have to drive around it! We went round an old Texan farm and had lunch by the lake, where I had to share out my water as I'd been the only one sensible enough to bring any (and to put sun cream on- the other two got burnt to a crisp!). The evening's entertainment was going out again (I've not become an alcoholic, don't worry, we're just enjoying ourselves!). ...
