Salute to Henry Ford

A travel blog entry by carmandy on Oct 14, 2014

After a rather interesting breakfast we headed out to the Henry Ford Museum - which is much more than just a car museum. There were trains, planes, of course automobiles. ... Michigan arriving about 6pm. Supposedly a 4 hour trip (according to the GPS) but we did detour a couple of times both accidentally and on purpose so it took us about 6 hours. In addition to the fatigue of riding continuously for three weeks, I was subjected to a ride through Indianapolis and Toledo. Both cities had a lot of traffic lights and it seemed as they all turned red just for me. Garmin my GPS maker has been excellent throughout this trip except for today. I don't know where it got the idea that ...

After the trip my dad brought me out to Ypsilanti to visit my friend here. Without a car there was pretty much no way I was going to be able to get out here (well, save for a bus trip) and the tentative plan is to try and get a ride from another person. If I can't, then I'll be biking home.

After a lot of snafus getting out of Chicago we ended up leaving the city right around 7:30. The original schedule had us arriving in Ypsi around that time. ...
