Hampton Inn Minneapolis - Eden Prairie,S.W.

We arrived mid afternoon in Bloomington. We passed the Mall to go register at our hotel. We stayed at Staybridge Suites just west of the Mall. It is a super nice place and they offer a full breakfast in the morning. Also every room is a suite with a ...

... we had to weave through the other drivers. We met Aleen for dinner at Trieu Chau, a local Vietnamese restaurant in St. Paul. I ate Bun Rieu while Susan had Bun Bo Hue and Aleen ate the vegetable soup. We made it to Hung and Lien's at 8:30 PM exhausted but ready to see what Minneapolis has to offer since this is our first time to go sightseeing here.

We will be seeing the Mall of America...

I'm frantically trying to work through my 3 page list of things to do before I go. Setting up a travel blog was one of the things on my list. Hopefully this will work as a great way to share stories and photos will all our friends and family back home. This seems pretty easy so far. My next task is a little more complicated...buying another swim suit. Why did I wait until 48 hours before departure to tackle this monumental task?

Leaving on my trip to Las Vegas tomorrow. I found some cheap motels through this website, extended stay motels that were very affordable. I didn't read the reviews though, so I hope they are not too sleazy. But ...

... for the 3-day walk coming up in September. Sometimes, I walked both Oscar and Alvie but mostly, I just walked Oscar. Silly dog would stop and follow pretty girls around the lake. Just like a man, would let the plain and dowdy ones alone but would about face mid step to follow an attractive girl. Upon further analysis, decided he had a preference for women that reminded me of Kris. Oscar and I were walking 7 miles a day.

... Natalie. We also attended Adam's sister's graduation from nursing school - - Go Mollie!! We had dinner in St. Paul with Adam's grandparents, parents, his sisters (mollie and betsy) and his aunt and uncle (paula and bill). Afterwards we went out for ice cream at a local ice cream shoppe :) Adam's grandpa is such a ham. Our next stop is Colorado to visit Adam's Uncle Joe and my Cousin Jackie.

Their reason for coming on the race is so that Phil can procrastinate his Literature Review for a bit longer. - Sarah Worobetz and her imaginary-but-totally-real buddy, Buddy. Sarah lives in Peachland, Canada, a town so full of old people that she had to invent Buddy to run the race with because there is nobody else her age in the entire district. Buddy, in turn, lives on Sarah's left ...
