... we will take the midnight flight to Lima. While waiting, mom and I went "out" for dinner at a Cuban restaurant. We ate yuca, fried chicken, fried fish, spanish rice and plantains. The food was only ok but for the taste the price should be lower.
During the plane ride I like sitting by the window and seeing the view when we are in the clouds I took two pictures.
I don't want to bore you guys so I'll add more when I get to Lima.
... Mall of America. The mall is big with the stores in an outer circle and four levels leaving space for kiddie rides in the middle which included a roller coaster. I had a great meal in a barbecue restaurant comprising of a burger with brisket added to the burger meat, topped with pulled pork and two thick slices of jalapeno bacon with chip - Yum!
Wonder how hot it will get tomorrow?
... and that's what makes it so thrilling.
I have been packing lots lately and going on my final shopping trips to get everything that I need. I'm really not bringing very many clothes, hoping to buy some when I am across the pond. I am bringing a huge backpacking backpack with me. I will be checking it at the airports. It looks really big but it'll hold all my swim stuff, my shoes, my toiletries, and ...
... even crawl! Tucked deep inside one of our duffle bags is a walker with her name on it.....this is tucked amongst a wide array of bright and colorful developmental toys that have been donated as well. There are also two children (a boy and girl) who are both about 7-8 years old who look like they might have pretty severe cerebral palsy....and there are a whole lot of other kids.
The last day of the trip we are planning ...
... the waves, the water sprays to the sides in high arcs. It’s coming in the windows, so the couple in front of us closes them all. Two passengers started out standing at the prow, but soon are back inside, their clothing soaked.
