    ... for some fish...I caught the biggest one, but Lamar caught the most.

    Anywho, after getting my bearings straight I listen to Ms Magellan and she said to get off the freeway on the right.     ... and the "open" sign was no longer illuminated.

    I made casual mention that we must have bought the last tickets. Soon a park ranger showed up and announced that power was out in the whole park and most of the town.

    Apparently they have one main power pole that someone decided to run a truck into.

    The ranger explained that the caves lighting would be out and that we would be taking a flashlight tour instead of the normal tour. This ended up being ...

    ... Rivers State Park; children whined and grumbled, sleepy bodies shocked by the cold as we carried them into the cabin. We noticed the astounding number of stars visible overhead (none of those cozy warm clouds to keep in some heat) but little else before we all collapsed thankfully into the pre-heated cabin.
