Time to move on to Danville, Vermont! Why? Because we are slowly making our way over to Niagara Falls.
We weren't but 20 miles from Bar Harbor when a tire blew on the 5th wheel. Boy did it destroy the tire!! It didn't do to much damage to the camper but did break the cold water line. We waited a very long time to get someone to help change the tire. Since I had the flashers on my batteries went dead and I ...
... last long.....cops showed up and woke us all up (what is it with the 5-0 and me on this trip???) , they had another hiker in custody.....drunk....and they asked if we would take custody of him, so he wouldn't have to go to jail! It is a wrap! This first hike trip in the White Mountains has been really cool, it's a place to be reckoned with in regards to the weather and hiking conditions. There are really hard hikes (Osgood on the Southbound loop for example), and the hut system is an awesome example of great organization, environmental awareness, and just a bunch of cool, real people that care and it shows.
