I left OKC with sun and cloud and 44 F. But as miles of farmfields and trees passed, the clouds thickened up and I wondered when the thermometer would hit 50. It did in spite of the persistent cloud cover, about an hour outside of Little Rock. But, hey, it did not rain.
Saw more of the city than ...
Little Rock, Arkansas, United States visionrider... but I just didn't feel like doing that. Whenever I stayed in one place for more than a few days I got restless: I think I need friends and/or some more stability, like having my own place and being able to unpack and have my own room, to stay in one place for any longer amount of time, which I just wouldn't have while traveling.

So I'm back, and I hope this experience has changed me for the better. I plan on trying ...

Conway, Arkansas, United States bastormsoccer... to stretch our legs again. After Mississippi, we
came into Memphis, Tennessee. We were only in TN a short time. We got to
visit the "Welcome to Arkansas" welcome center (thanks to David
Andrew's bladder). We got a late start and the rain set us back - but
we were determined to make it ...

Little Rock, Arkansas, United States lagalag1... Luke for breakfast. We are going to be staying with Judith and her husband Richard while we are in Santa Fe. I met Judith while in Italy last fall with Jane and the Knitaly group. I am looking forward to Steve meeting her and seeing her again. It is interesting that Judith has the same type of Lymphoma that both Anne and Leonard have. She is presently doing well as are Leonard and Anne so we can keep our prayers going for them all to keep well.
Little Rock, Arkansas, United States colleen.killorn... Clinton Museum, an impressive structure with one wing that soars over the Arkansas River. Clinton called it the "Bridge to the 21st Century." So we bought our tickets and entered the museum. The first exhibit (and the only one on the first floor) was a Presidential car. Commentary that outlined safety issues for the President and the role of the Secret Service accompanied the car. A line of photos also supplemented the exhibit and as I looked down, it dawned on me that I ...
Little Rock, Arkansas, United States flying_shoe... They're stringing mikes, electric wires run back and forth, getting ready for a show. I ask. A choral group is coming first, then later school kids, set to sing, this place is for the people, no? How grand! The legislature, meets every other year for 60 days, but otherwise, state business here, the governor, and all. I wander up and down, rotunda looking up, the balcony (look down), the Senate room, the curves and the design. I love state capitols, a ...
