    Jurassic World

A travel blog entry by sojanet on Jun 19, 2015

I went to see Jurassic World 3D with my parents. The movie tickets in this town are so cheap-- $12.75 for adults, $9 for seniors-- and that's for 3D!! There was live music across the street and overall a very good Friday night atmosphere in town! I thought the movie was very entertaining. The 3D aspect wasn't too astounding, like I never felt like the dinosaurs were right in front of me or coming towards me, but the creation of a theme park on screen was very exciting! Highly ...

    Last day of tutoring!

A travel blog entry by sojanet on Jun 15, 2015

Today was my last day of tutoring Alice, a Korean middle schooler I've been tutoring for the past 2 months! We put together an independent study plan for the summer, and I wished her well for the coming academic year and her life in the US of A! I moved here pretty much the same age as her, so I wanted to motivate her as much as possible :) I showed her mom and her around my parents' backyard garden/farm and picked some ...

I signed up for paddleboard yoga for Wednesday. You take a paddleboard out to the water and do yoga on the ...

... easy! They have another guest next week, fun!

I completed my lesson plans (all 24 of them!) and attended a curriculum planning session held via Google Hangout. It was nice to "meet" the academic director and other instructors. This program definitely has fewer resources than previous ones I've worked for, but I think it'll be fine as long as I stay resourceful and flexible.

I've started brushing up on ...

    ... but valuable experience.

My mom and I departed on Tuesday and spent a night in Winston Salem. I met with my doctor the next morning. She was so warm and encouraging! It was very nice to see her. She was very encouraging of my meditative practice and signed the necessary paperwork for my return to school as well as for the camp I will be teaching at.

Then we had another 3.5 hour drive north! North to Virginia! We pulled into ...
