... the days we went out for food with Garrett one day to a Mexican and the other day was to a restaurant that was owned by the parents of kids on camp. They were on camp last year and they are a great family and do great food. The only problem is that the place is in an old morgue. We met some Mexican girls Pamela and Paola and went out for drinks at a bar on the wednesday it was a good night because some guy in there just kept buying the whole bar a ...
Fredericksburg, Texas, United States adamc26We left the house in the capable paws of our sweet pets. Dixie had just been given a new toy to keep her busy while we were gone; we kissed her goodbye and headed out. Fancy took us to the airport. We stopped at Chick-fil-A for a quick breakfast. Apparently Matt is a regular there because the gal at the drive-thru already had his "usual" order of two chicken biscuits ready for him! We're going to challenge Sarah not to eat anymore chicken ...
Boerne, Texas, United States jmburtonThe next morning we headed to Coffee Call...a local favorite for Cafe Au Lait and Beignets...one word for this one...YUM!
We arrived home to a dog that missed us very much and a husband/dad who enjoyed his time alone as well (I don't think he was too jealous...he doesn't like crowds or lines).
... looked like a family, Zydeco band played. The senior citizen set danced (they were fun to watch). I tried to get my girls to dance with me, but they wouldn't. A lady at a nearby table lost a ring and the entire restaurant was all looking for it at once. A boy with an A&M shirt found the ring. It was nestled in her dining companion's entree.
Boerne, Texas, United States jmburton... Folk Festival. The first thing I am told by those who live here, "Welcome home." I arrive at sunset. The people's faces are veiled in shadow. I do not see who I speak with. I just know that I am offered a beer and a spot at the table. There are two boys, and an older couple. They are speaking celestial talk. Ranch physics. Horoscopes, and black holes. The shape of DNA molecules ...
Kerrville, Texas, United States kavanagh.jc... has the smallest church (physically), but the brother currently in residence is an avid gardener, and it is by far the most attractive of the missions. Most of the foundations of the original church and many of the outbuildings still exist. Many of its buildings, including the current church, were constructed of bricks made on the grounds. Mission Espada is also the only mission with an acequia system (basically an irrigation system) that is ...
Kerrville, Texas, United States ksjsburkeClose to the little town of Fredericksburg, there lies a wonderful park called Enchanted Rock. The park is named after a large pink, granite dome that stands 425 ft tall. The park has mostly trad routes but we found few really fun climb ...
Fredericksburg, Texas, United States westtsai2006... cookies...even on the small commuter jets they run. ** Kansas City International Airport 3 star rating Prolly a nice airport before 9/11. You shouldn't have to repass through security just to change planes on the same airline. ** San Antonio International Airport 3 star rating It's a mess with construction right now. Otherwise it's an effective but average airport. ** Rudy's Country Store & Bar-B-Q 4 star rating My parents live in Kerrville, so a ...
Kerrville, Texas, United States scrabubbly... place to sit. We were able to secure a spot on the front row and would continue to throughout the festival. We walked back down to camp since we had almost an hour to kill and I got my camera bag and made up a big cup of hibiscus tea to carry with me. Coming and going we encountered many old friends that we only get to see during the festivals. Neither us knew anything about Sahara Smith, the opening act that night. She was very young and had a hot young ...

Day 8 We drove to Ingram, Texas to the Clint Orms Silversmiths Studio to get Don a new belt to go with his 2004 Xmas gift, which was a Clint Orms Buckle.
