      ... they were nice enough to cook fresh eggs, sausage, and french toast to order for me. I could smell the smokers working again and asked if any of the beef brisket was available - apparently it just came out. Sounds like lunch to me! I asked for a pound to go so we could have BBQ sandwiches for lunch on the road.

      We left the St. Louis area about 11 a.m. This was a good move ...

      This morning I left Dave to sleep and I went to see the National Shrine of St. Therese of Lisieux Fr. It was about hour away from my Cousin's house in Bartlett.

      The National Shrine of St. Therese is situated on a 50 acre Carmelite campus in Darien, Illinois. The Shrine includes both a museum devoted to the saint and a chapel where visitors can reflect and worship.

      ... to immerse himself in both worlds thus, was the most homesick.
