We started out from Marleen & Chris's house on Waneta Lake and drove to Hammondsport where we stopped at a bakery and had breakfast. It was a place where people knew and greeted each other by name. With the cool, rainy weather, it was pretty quiet on the streets compared to the summer high season.

From Hammonsport, we drove eastward through Watkins Glen to Ithaca. There we attempted to park in order to see/walk to one of the famous gorges on the campus ...

We did manage to not win any door prizes, ASIs the RAMS tradition. We stayed a few minutes for the band the back to the campsite and to bed at a reasonable hour as we have a full day tomorrow on our way back ...

This morning dawned bright and beautiful with no clouds, endless sun, and cool temps. Unfortunately, we did not see this for some time as we had to be on the road by 6 am. So we could get to Heid's Hodaka in Jonesboro, NY and get Eltee a new front tire. We would have gone to a regular BMW Dealer but the only one close to our route of travel was closed on Saturday. Nice to know someone is doing that well in his economy. We arrived at Heid's about 915, just as they were ...
