... br> "Newhouse" is running like a champ. Almost 8 miles to the gallon and we are running about 6 miles an hour. And, yes, this is a sailboat but we can't sail in the channel as it's too narrow. Won't shake out the sails until we get the Gulf which is about 400 miles down the river.

It's great to be back on the water and seeing all these wonderful sights. Fall colors are just about over but it's still grand.

... able to give Dave some RV advice, as they have been considering future trips. Obviously our whole family has very fresh advice to give. As I talked through my list though, I was pleased at how great this vehicle has worked for us.

Today we hit the 5,000 mile mark, and 100 hours of driving time. I'm not a calculus teacher, but I'll take a wild stab and say that that means we're roughly averaging 50 miles ...
