It was double date night - Krista's brother wanted to go to a French restaurant so he could get Foie Gras (which is illegal in california). So, it was off to a French restaurant. Not exactly what I wanted, especially since I was about to spend 2 weeks in France.
Would have rather stayed home and eat the pizza that was ordered.
... and 3) nonstop. Amsterdam! But, since both of us have been to Amsterdam, I thought it might be fun to go someplace different and we are now headed to Brugge, Belgium.
We got on our plane in Houston, got settled into our nice comfy pods, got to know our very nice flight attendant and waited. Mechanical, not good. After about an hour, the captain told us that we would not be going ...
... at least 1 could have
come out for a visit but after sitting outside for 90 minutes the
largest thing we saw was a moth.
We had a good time in Houston but we learned that we need to be a bit quicker to plan what we want to do. There were several things that we missed due to weather and timing. Guess we'll cover them when we come back to the area for next year's Lone Star Rally.
- My friends were kind enough to go with me to the Houston Dynamo soccer game today at their home field, BBVA Compass Stadium.
- Before the game we did our pregame routine and got gas and food before at the local Texaco
- Gas was $36.79, food and water was $11.04, and ice was $7.00
- We sold our custom snapback hats once again an hour ...
Fortunately, everything was on time for our flight home today. We took a taxi to Charles De Gaulle and departed right around 12:30pm. Our 8.5 hour flight to Washington, DC was fairly smooth (except for a little turbulence upon our descent).
