      White water/ Shenandoah mountain side

A travel blog entry by adamjrowe on Sep 01, 2014

So we where on the road again. And and we went to Shenandoah national park and drove on the skyline road thing - a road on the mountains with views of the surrounding area (at least we think so because it was cloudy) it was strange because we where above the clouds so it was blue sky for us, but cloudy below. We then had lunch and walked in the clouds - it was like fog. We walked just 2 miles to a waterfall, took a few pictures and then walked back. The following day we set ...

      Doughton Park Hike

... ramble in the countryside followed by a HUGE climb up a mountainside. We all made it and had a nice second breakfast stop in Meadowview. Ahhh... What a pleasant repast that was. The remainder of the day's 50 + miles were less exciting but nice...being able to view the historical markers that related the local history of the American ...

We drove the 5 hours from Great Falls Va at Floyd VA for the wedding of two of our friends, d and Adam. It was a fairy tale day for the bride, complete with fairy's, trolls, knights, a horse drawn carriage, and a far flung guest list. We knew very few there, but it was a beautiful setting, so all was ...

We arrived in Charleston, the capital of West Virginia, and as our main goal was to show the 35 star flag, we headed to the W V State Museum first. It was just closing, but we stated our intent at the front desk, and an e-mail was sent to the director, Charles Morris.
Close to Charleston was a beautiful campground located in Kanawha State Forest, where we chose to stay. Above us were tall trees and beside our tent was ...
