Our Hill Country weekend began Thursday night at the Baylor / Oklahoma football game at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco. Our Bears broke open a close game late in the first half and ran away with a convincing 41-12 win over the Sooners in front of a sold out crowd and nationally televised audience.
Our fellow travelers for the weekend, Barry and Sylvia from Magnolia, were seeing parts of Texas for the first time. Sylvia was attending her first college football game
Well it was a long day! Been have a great time driving down the road. Stopped at a campground yesterday that was great. It is called Grandpappys Rv park. There was a couple there that cooked on the weekends. They cook brisket or ribs, we got there when they were closing down. It was great as we now have food for 3 days. Up very early this morning to plan my trip. I wanted to plan to stay off of I-30. I found a route and ask the lady at the desk how to get to the highway from there. Well she was sweet but sure over did it a bit. Anyway turns out I-30 was an great way to go for a while. It wasn't busy at all so the need for speed just wasn't there.
