We stayed for a week at Cross Country Campground outside of Denver, TN, near Lake Norman.  The park is mainly made up of permanent camp sites and the perimeter was for short stays. We were able to pick out a nice shady spot that was in the back 40, so we had several sites to ourselves for most of the time. We got both a picnic table and a fire ring so we're ...

For the Independence Day Weekend, we headed out to the Wilson Creek area again for some more waterfall fun. Friday, we spent the day in Raleigh and went to Sandy’s parents for a cookout. My dad listened and didn't say a word and then at the very end after about forty five minutes of ...

Another beautiful morning in the campground... and a walking tour of downtown Asheville. Then the drive across the mountains into central North Carolina on I-40 -- crossed the Eastern Continental Divide and then a six-mile very steep downhill stretch. At Hickory I turned south and drove through the small town of Maiden to ...

    Unfortunately Didn't Miss Much

Due to some plane troubles I was an hour late but apparently that didn't matter too much. When I arrived, there was no table for me and only one student had come by in that hour. Needless to say, this event was rough on expecting even just one or two prospectives. The table situation got squared away pretty quickly but still an afternoon of staring at other recruiters. A few more Davidson students came by closer to the event's ending time (4:30) pm, but literally ...
