... games. We then drove to the "Historic District". Beautiful scenery surrounded the White River but the 'historic' part left a lot to be desired. It was really an outdoor strip mall with many contemporary stores. Steve and the kids enjoyed go-karting to end the evening. ... us a 16 mile day of only trail walking. Not attempting the yo-yo was decided today as well as a record breaking run for the next two days to Tyler Bend.
We Forced camp on the trail at mile marker 141. This was the worst campsite of the trip :(

Camped just past mile marker 159, 1 mile before the start of Woolum rd. We absolutely did not want to get caught on Woolum road in the dark.. Not after my last encounter ...

We are at Susie's and will be staying here until next week and we have decided to go to Death Valley next week. We have never been there and the weather is pretty decent this time of year. We are learning to relax as we keep telling ourselves that we are in no hurry. Dad and I did go down to the ocean yesterday, it never seems to lose its beauty no matter how many times I've seen it.
