      ... looked back and noticed the hill was made out of pages. Layers of phone books and hundreds of newspapers had been piled up for so long that they had partially decomposed into the earth. Inside the house was piles of stuff you could tell hadn't been touched in years. Why?? It's a very strange thing to me.       My grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by her family yesterday early afternoon. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and prayers.

      Today is John and my 13th wedding anniversary. A bit bittersweet, but pretty wonderful to spend it with family. Our family bought us a gift card to a local restaurant for an anniversary dinner tonight. There is so much love here right now.

      ... in love, and we were on the road without having to worry about who would cover our jobs, who would do laundry on Friday, or when we'll be back.

      I'll admit; being a towner who joined the circus last year has always made me feel on the outside (not always in a bad way, mind you) but last night I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Kelly Miller Circus is our family and always will be.
