OK for a one night stay

Very good value, comfortable beds. Ok for a one night stay off the highway, and the price was great. But a few minor complaints....several of the outlets didn't work, the carpet was still a bit damp from having been shampooed, and the breakfast room was extremely overcrowded. Would I have paid $40 more to stay at another hotel down the street? No. The basics of a clean, comfortable, quiet room with a good nights sleep was what I got, and that is what I was looking for.

... Winkels had the biggest porch I have ever seen. It is indeed theraputic to visit old friends. The country side around Clio is cotton farm land, although we did see a lot of tree haulers rumbling thru town. There must be lumber industry nearby. After 3 days we left, a lot better people fthan when we came. Thanks guys for being our friends and for all your hospitality. ...

Today we said goodbye to Grandpops and Grammy (until Christmas) and started making our way home to VA.

We made great time to Florence, SC and decided to stop there for the night.

Andrew accompanied us to Cracker Barrel for dinner and he had a great time watching us eat :)

He enjoyed the king size bed again at the hotel and Daddy made him laugh so hard ...
