      ... it was crazy cos we jus went out in our gear we had been to the beech in!!       ... today and stepping on some hidden "hike-enders" just brings the thought up often. It would be crushing, obviously to come this far and not be successful. I've heard a few joke that they won't say they'll make it until they are within crawling distance of the sign.
