    ... Both of our GPS's took us on slightly different routes. Our goal was to avoid driving through the cities so we purposely headed towards a place called Fish Kill, New York. Exit 11 managed to navigate us into a residential area with many dead ends and verrrrrrrry narrow streets. Clarence kept saying "we're screwed". I kept telling him to listen to the GPS. He kept saying that is what has gotten us into this mess in the first place. Long story short, the GPS finally got us out ...

    ... Interstate directly to Hudson (at the top of the Hudson Valley in NY State) where we stop for a coffee. It is a strange town.     ... today and stepping on some hidden "hike-enders" just brings the thought up often. It would be crushing, obviously to come this far and not be successful. I've heard a few joke that they won't say they'll make it until they are within crawling distance of the sign.
