Blue skies! We headed out to Arlington War Cemetery and the Pentagon.
Walked to Arlington. Very nice. This is the first day when it isn't humid. Much better.
Had to walk across a bridge over the Potomac. Quite a plain bridge but had some great statues at each end. Check out the golden guardians.

... biscuit (this is a buttery scone... Strange Americans) for $4.09!!! What!! So cheap! Luke took a random stab at the menu and ordered bacon and egg mcgriddles. They looked like bacon and egg mcmuffins but were so much more! Turns out a mcgriddle is a bun infused with maple syrup! The look on his face was priceless as he bit into what he assumed to be delicious egg and bacon and he got hit with sugar syrup! The poor thing couldn't even eat it.... Strange strange ...
... a day by an American soldier in full regalia, and we were lucky enough to catch the changing of the guard whilst we were there. It was quite an amazing experience to see a military ceremony up close, and the discipline of the officers is something to behold.
