... out to be a nice woman and she was thrilled that I was from Ireland. She pointed out to her son that I was more fascinating than a big butterfly, so, yeah. A new compliment for me. I had some nice chicken tenders and chips there, and loads of free refill sprite (!), then it was off on the road again. It wasn't a very long drive to Nashville, but it's busy and boring and there are roadworks everywhere. And once you hit the city, there are a gazillion ...

Made it to the next place and managed to go through and chat with the Program Director, the next place the woman on reception was pretty snooty - but at least I did it. ... I drove through it! Coming back to Nashville was like coming home for me, I love the place its got this quiet cool vibe thats very different to Memphis, which is a very good thing!! No lines or ID check's to get onto Broadway just plenty of boot stores and amazing Honky Tonk's to choose from. A trip to Nashville is not complete for me, if I don't end up with a pair of boots and this one was ...

... but it was really beautiful lit up at night like that. Eventually Army, Sam, and I all met up at a bar called The Stage on Broadway and got a few drinks in our system while we listened to some really good live music as the band was playing popular songs in addition to classic country and rock and roll anthems. We proceeded to bar hop from place to place while listening to the different bands all play very similar songs (if I hear Sweet Home Alabama one ...

... we have a target date for returning (end of July/beginning of August), it's not set in stone, so we are leaving our options open. Here goes: from NY to Oslo: $288, Norwegian Air. From Oslo to Beziers: $75, RyanAir. (I got a free flight from Chicago to New York with credit card points, but that was just lucky – that would have been only another $124.) Pretty low budget so far!! As someone who buys *most* items from thrift stores, this lines right ...
