I am officially on my way to New York City (currently over Michigan!) and the trip is going well so far. The seat next to me on the plane is open, which always a bonus, AND our travel agent gave me a little upgrade which never hurts J

... hebben ze in de VS een lotterij systeem bedacht. Iedereen met staanplaatsen krijgt een polsbandje en daarop staat een nummer. Door een lotterij wordt bepaald welk nummer de uiteindelijke nieuwe nummer 1 is. Ditmaal werd een nummer rond de 590 getrokken. Er pasten 500 man in de pit, er waren tegen de 1000 polsbandjes uitgegeven, dus met nummer 213 zou ik het niet halen. Ik heb het toen ook opgegeven om zo ver mogelijk vooraan te komen. Dat heeft geen zin ...

I am still at home. Only one more week. Being away from my home for three weeks requires a lot of preparation. I even know the movie that are going to have on the Flight. I am tired already!! Since I will be on a plane for almost 24 hours, I am collecting all the necessary stuff needed to be comfortable.

Much like the splash zones in SeaWorld. They sold ponchos at the door, or you could provide your own covering. Anne, of course, had already seen the show, and knew where to sit us so we wouldn't get sprayed. The lady in front of me was hilarious, she cut a hole in a regular Kroger plastic bag ...

My Stop in Detroit: I stopped in Detroit at about 3:55 to change planes. I waited in the airport. It felt so long, but my excitement kept me entertained. I'm so exited that I am going to leave the country and actually go to Canada. I've wanted to go for such a long time, and now I finally am! Those are just some of the things I was thinking about while waiting in the airport. But, anyway, now we are about to board the plane and be on our way to CANADA!!! I just cant wait.

... I'd just graduated college and knew EVERYTHING (just ask me) - but was also so naive. I managed to leave my lightweight jacket behind in the car - only realizing this on the plane - but had 2 full suitcases. Apparently I'd forgotten the first part of the word luggage - LUG. Live and learn. I've checked in for my flight and am heading to Boston. Wish me luck!
