Well it has been several days since there have been any posts. That's because those days have been spent in the field from 8 am until 9 pm harvesting the beans. Beans are fickle and do not like moisture so you needed to get them when they are ready and no rain. It is very tough running out in the field ...

Randy went to work today and I drove over to finish the field before the rain. With beans they pick up moisture over night and harvesting can not start until 11am depending on the sun, at least I got a little break. Things were very tough the night before ...

Another great fall day here in Iowa and it is time to get the bike out and get back in shape. They have lots of trails around Des Moines and I will be trying out the Raccoon River trail which is over 80 miles. Needless to say I will not make anything close to that. Maybe over several days depending on the harvest. This trail is a loop, but that is still a large loop. The first thing that catches my attention is the fact ...
