Very comfortable clean rooms, complimentary breakfast, basic but satisfactory. Easy walking distance to shopping mall and exits to Highways. Staff very friendly, stay quite pleasant.

... 4 hours of driving time. Better safe than sorry, I always say. And here we are at the Antebellum-esq. Quality Inn in a quite nice room. We are all cozied up in a big, fluffy, king-sized bed watching TV, which is something we do not often do. I haven't had cable in 3 years! No time. So it begins, my journey back to popular American culture. *Crawls from beneath rock*

Marietta, Georgia. My parents picked me up last night. People are fatter here. We ate at a place called Marlow's Tavern on the way home from the airport. Tonight I heard Sandy Patti in concert at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church. ...

He had made dinner for us so we sat down to eat shortly after we got there. Later we walked Leo around the yard and Ruby was on the constant lookout for snakes. ...

Our journey starts here at Summit Hill Elementary. Every class will be tracking their miles in PE class and together we will travel across America. Can't wait to see where our journey takes us. Along the way we will stop at the state capitals and see what we can learn.

... Pizza and one Mia's Special.

Saturday 6/29 - Mike, Barb, Colleen, Aldo, Hillary, Michael, Jameson, and I went to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. We saw the painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring" by Vermeer (Dutch). Enjoyed the paintings and other art. Had a snack and coffee with Barb and Mike, then headed home, stopping by a Mediterranean Cafe to get pita bread and baklava for dessert. Donna made a big Greek salad ...
