Hampton Inn Convention Center Orlando

I was very impressed by this hotel. The staff were always eager to help and nothing seemed to be any trouble to them. They were very informative re: the surrounding area. It is situated only a 5 minute walk to I-drive. There was a complimentary shuttle to Universal Studios at various times throughout the day from a neighbouring hotel (2 mins walk) There was no complimentary shuttle to disney so we used a shuttle from a neighbouring hotel (around $10 per person return). We had a great time and I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone.

I will never stay at another Hampton Inn for as long as I live. Our stay was nice, but the people behind the counter are not so helpful. This specific hotel charged our account twice, and then would not do much to help clear up the problem. They kept giving us the run around, not returning our phone calls, and even blamed us for the extra charges. They finally acknowledged that it was their error because they charged our account for another rooms fees. They did not offer an apology, but would refund our money. Because of their unduly charges, we are facing many other charges, and they won't even consider helping us to take care of them. It is their fault that we are in the mess we are in, and we deserve our money. At Least an apology!

It is such a pleasure to be welcomed by hotel personnel who seem genuinely pleased you are a guest!

Initially our decision to stay at this hotel was based on its walking-distance proximity to the Orlando Convention Center. However, we and others in our party all agreed that we will stay here on any future trips to the Orlando area, even if we are not attending meetings at the Convention Center.

We were also extremely impressed with the varied breakfast choices tastefully served in the home-like lobby area. And, unlike other hotels, we all were able to access their free high-speed internet service without encountering glitches.

The only reason I did not rate this hotel as "excellent" is due to the difficulty in seeing the sign for the hotel which needs to be displayed more prominently.

Quite a good hotel, but not as good as other Hampton Inns we have been to. Rooms were clean and spacious. No internet and not even a pay-phone available, only the very expensive hotel phone. Nice location, only a few minutes to I-Drive and Convention Center and very quite.

I stay for 6 days at this hotel during Christmas week. First day check in I smell mild chlorine in the hallway. The room that I stay in on the 2nd floor is good. The bathroom is good. The elevator is good.

Breakfast is basic. Didnt swim in the pool. This hotel is the nearest to the convention. It run parallel with Int Drive, but its on the other side. For the location and the money and free breakfast, I give it above average.

The hotel is average but is not near the Convention Center! I asked specfically when I was booking my group there and was told by the manager that they are "right across the street". That was a lie as it is a mile!I am told that the Sierra Suites a bloack away is much better.
