... all had a good time crushing the **** out of it. Later we moved to another section, a 5.9 on slab with a super awkward slopey shelf start that was pretty neat. I led this route to the top to set up the top rope anchor, but little did I know how bad the guide book actually was... When I got to the 5th bolt, I could not see another. Apparently it was actually a mixed route trad/sport. But I refused to leave me gear... So about 30ft away from the last bolt, I traversed ...
Today we had an early breakfast and off we drove towards Ellijay...except I took over the GPS and promptly got lost...around a town called Winder....drove around in a circle for awhile....we eventually we reached Amicalola Falls....it was a lovely day and the walk to the falls was pretty but not spectacular.....we also walked up to the lodge which is at the top ...
... which are just outside Athens... They ar stunning, and free a beautiful tropical greenhouse, a herb garden and a Physic garden... Then an international, flower, shade, native, an old fashioned settlers garden and a lovely group of sculptures at the visitor center. We could have stayed much longer. But as it was the end of the day we went to a converted garage called Teds for pizza, Happy Hour Beer at 2:50 and pizza... It's was nice as we could sit outside and people ...

It definitely has its charms as a college town (Go Bulldogs!), being the home of Georgia Tech. Everything was geared towards the weekend football games so there was a lot of spirit in the ...
